Important Prevention

To prevent infection and to slow transmission of COVID-19, do the following:

Avoid Crowded Places

Together, we can slow the spread of COVID-19 by making a conscious effort to keep a physical distance between each other.

Wear a Face Mask

Medical masks, including surgical, medical procedure face masks and respirators (like N95 masks), must be kept for health care workers and others providing direct care to COVID-19 patients.

Cover Mouth when Coughing

Cough or sneeze into your elbow or by covering your mouth and nose with tissues.

Wash Hand Frequently

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after using the washroom and when preparing food

Seek Medical Care

Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance. Follow the directions of your local health authority.

Avoid Contact with Animals

Several dogs and cats (domestic cats and a tiger) have tested positive to COVID-19 virus following close contact with infected humans.
